Richard G. Elfman, DDS
Dr. Elfman is proud to say he grew up locally in Holyoke, Massachusetts. He earned an undergraduate degree with honors from Yeshiva University. He did one year of research in Oral Gland Analysis at Columbia Dental School. He graduated from New York University School of Dentistry. He also completed a 2 year program in Implants at Harvard University.
He has served on various committees’ for the Valley District Dental Society including The Council on Dental Education and served as Chairman of the Fluoridation Committee. He has been a consultant for the Springfield Head Start Program. He has been a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Pankey Institute of Dental Excellence. Has had specialized training in Cerec (cad cam) for digital impressions and crown fabrication.
Dr. Elfman is committed to continuing education including attending recent courses in Invisalign Orthodontic Therapy and Snore Guard Sleep Appliances.
He has been happily married for 31 years, and has two great children. In addition the family includes one very cute chocolate poodle named Mocha. In his spare time, he is passionate about gardening, and enjoys tennis.
Dr. Elfman’s philosophy is to cultivate a friendly professional staff, and an environment that will provide the patient with the highest quality dental care, while showing compassion for their specific concerns. He believes in creating and maintaining lasting patient relationships, while ensuring good oral health and good value for the patients. He and his staff believe in a patient centered practice that will make you feel at home while serving your dental needs.
